The Zip Absorber 1 protects the climber in the event of an accident such as an air bag against dangerous impact force peaks, which can already cause severe injuries in "smaller" falls. In a standard fall, as it is carried out at certifications (1 m drop distance at a mass of 100 kg), it reduces the force of impact reliably to below 6 kN. Without Energy absorbing the impact force value is approximately twice as high! The special feature: The Zip Absorber keeps unlike traditional fall arrest permanent work loads without triggering an early stage. The Ropeguide not only serves as an absorbing system, but also as a stripping device. As is customary with ART, it is replaceable as a consumable item.
